The GLOBAL Technology Awards, the industry's largest global awards program, have recognized the very best new innovations in the printed circuit assembly and packaging industries since 2005. In November 2009, the latest round of awards were given out during a ceremony held at Productronica in Munich, Germany. In early 2010, the GLOBAL Technology Awards will be open once again for entries. Entries will be invited from equipment, materials and EMS companies of all sizes and will be judged by an independent, international panel based on:

• Speed/throughput improvements
• Quality contribution
• Cost benefits
• Environmental consideration
• Ease of use/implementation
• Maintainability/repairability
